10 Ways To Continue Making Money In Your Business…Even While On Vacation

Many of us feel that business will slow down when we take a vacation.  We feel that if we are not around it will be hard to make money.

What if you could continue to make money and bring value to your business – even while you are on your vacation?

Here are some ideas you can use to continue to making money in your business – even though you are half way around the world enjoying your vacation.

How to  make money in your business – even while on vacation

1. Send out offers. Why not send out offers that your customers could take advantage of while you were gone?

You can send them out before you leave, – and then give them a way to use the offer while you are gone (i.e.: a paypal button, a toll free number, come into the store, etc.).

Or, you can date the offer to be available after you return- so that you’ll have a group of customers eager to buy when you get back.

2. Schedule appointments. Why not offer your schedule to your customers – so that they can start booking themselves now for the weeks you get back?

Give them an incentive (I.e.: 10% off of your product or service) if they book now.

Again, the result will be a full schedule with lots of business waiting for you when you get back.

If you have a staff – have them contact your customers and fill up your schedule – so that you can hit the ground running when you get back.

3. Ask for referrals. How about sending out a request to your database – for referrals of people who could use your product or service?

Send it out before you leave – then collect and contact all the referrals when you get back.

You can send it as a genuine request for business, or as a referral program ($30 off their next purchase, and their friends first purchase, etc.).

4. Customer Appreciation. Send your customers a gift of appreciation before you leave.

Yet,  make sure the gift will result in your customer buying more from you (I.e.: 15% off of your next purchase, buy 1 get 1 free, etc.).

5. Collections. This is a perfect time to request payment on outstanding invoices.  People have money to spend on gifts, why not use some of that to pay you too.

Send out the collection letters or emails, before you leave…then deposit the checks that will be waiting for you when you get back.

6. List stuff for sale. If you have stuff (inventory) you want to get rid of – list it on Craigslist, Ebay, etc. before you leave.

Have your employee, assistant or neighbor complete the transaction for you while you are gone.

7. Switch to drop shipping. If you sell a product, contact a drop shipping company to fulfill orders for your customers while you are gone.

8. Get Affiliates. If you offer a service – find other people that do what you do – and create an affiliate relationship.

As an affiliate have them service your customers while you are gone.

9. Package your expertise and sell it online. Either through video, audio or e-book, capture your expertise then sell it to others through your website.

When you get back from vacation, you can keep this going as an additional stream of income.

10. Lease out your assets. Whether its your location, vehicles or employees – why not lease them out to your competition while you are away?

Since no one else will be using them, why not make money from them?

Can your business make money while you are gone?  Of course it can.  As a matter of fact, you may get so used to it, that you will take more vacations.

And who wouldn’t want to run a business like that?
